1. Overview
At Storytime Studio, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can:
- Delete individual stories - Remove specific stories while keeping your account
- Delete your entire account - Remove all your data permanently
2. Delete Individual Stories (Partial Deletion)
You can delete individual stories without deleting your account. This allows you to remove specific content while keeping your account and other stories.
How to Delete a Story:
- Open the Storytime Studio app
- Go to My Stories
- Find the story you want to delete
- Swipe left on the story or tap the menu icon
- Tap "Delete"
- Confirm your decision
What Gets Deleted:
- The story text and title
- All AI-generated images for that story
- Story metadata (creation date, settings used)
What Stays:
- Your account and profile
- Other stories you've created
- Your subscription status
- App preferences and settings
Story deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Make sure to download a PDF copy first if you want to keep the story.
3. Delete Your Account (Full Deletion)
If you want to delete all your data, you can delete your entire account. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Open the Storytime Studio app
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll down to Account section
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email to support@storytime.bg with the following information:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request - Storytime Studio"
- The email address associated with your account
- Confirmation that you understand this action is permanent
We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation email once complete.
4. What Data Is Deleted (Full Account Deletion)
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
Permanently Deleted:
- Account information - Email address, authentication data, profile settings
- All stories - Including story text, titles, and metadata
- Generated images - All AI-generated illustrations associated with your stories
- Child profiles - Names, ages, personality traits, and interests used for personalization
- App preferences - Language settings, theme preferences, notification settings
- Usage history - Story generation history and app interaction data
5. What Data May Be Retained
Certain data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or business purposes:
May Be Retained:
- Transaction records - Purchase history for subscriptions and in-app purchases (required for tax and accounting purposes, retained for up to 7 years)
- Payment processor records - Apple App Store and Google Play maintain their own records of transactions
- Anonymized analytics - Aggregated, non-personal usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you
- Legal compliance data - Any data required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes
Note: Subscription cancellation is handled separately through the App Store or Google Play. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. Please cancel any active subscriptions before deleting your account.
6. Retention Period
Deletion Timeline:
- In-app deletion: Immediate - your data is deleted within minutes
- Email request: Within 30 days of receiving your request
- Backup systems: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently purged
7. After Account Deletion
Once your account is deleted:
- You will be automatically signed out of the app on all devices
- You will no longer have access to any stories or generated content
- Any active subscription will continue until its expiration date, but you won't be able to use the premium features
- You can create a new account using the same email address, but your previous data will not be restored
Before You Delete:
- Download any stories you want to keep as PDF files
- Cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play
- Make note of any feedback you'd like to share with us
